Model version CSIEM-1.7.0 — Comparison of modelled vs observed depth-time profiles of dissolved oxygen and density anomaly at mooring stations within Cockburn Sound, 2021. Each panel shows observed data (top) and CSIEM prediction (bottom).
Observed data are sourced from the Western Australian Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and comprise four continuously profiling mooring buoys deployed within Cockburn Sound during 2021. These instruments measure vertical profiles of temperature, salinity and other water quality parameters at high temporal resolution.
Mooring data are subject to sensor drift and malfunctions caused by biofouling. Modellers assess these plots alongside field notes supplied by the DWER team. Where a particular dataset is considered unreliable it is not shown here, but remains available within the CSIEM platform for reference.
